Interlock Industries, Inc. was founded in 1982 when four businessmen joined forces in the ownership of an international manufacturer of custom roofing and siding products. Their mission: diversification through the acquisition of strong, growth-oriented companies. Within three years, holdings included transportation, aluminum billet casting and extrusion, and corrugated packaging companies.
Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Interlock is now privately held by the founding member Joseph L. Mackin's children. As of 2010, Interlock employed over 2,000 full-time associates. Interlock and its companies have over 23 manufacturing facilities in 20 different states, and conduct business worldwide.
While the companies owned by Interlock represent four different industries, they share the parent company’s management ideals. Each offers quality products and services, delivered by knowledgeable, highly effective employee teams. Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation, Procarent, Ohio Valley Aluminum Company, and Altec – together, they are the Interlock Industries, Inc. family of companies.
Interlock Industries is dedicated to the continued growth and success of each company by: 1) acknowledging and embracing the diversity of each company, 2) uniting each company under the parent corporation's umbrella, 3) providing strong, capable leadership and mentoring, 4) providing quality products and services at competitive pricing, 5) using state-of-the-art equipment and skilled employees, and 6) building positive relationships with employees, customers and suppliers. These management ideals guarantee the Interlock Industries' family – its shareholders, employees and customers – continuity and excellence.
